A full appointment system is operated. Please consider if it is necessary to have a face to face consultation with the doctor or is it a matter that could be dealt with by speaking to a doctor on the telephone? If it is, please telephone the surgery and the receptionist will book a telephone consultation for you.
Appointment bookings start at 8:00am every morning both on the phone and in person at reception.
We have 3 types of appointments to see a doctor:
Next Day - book for the following working day.
Advance - these appointments can be booked up to seven days ahead.
On The Day - these are intended for urgent medical problems that you feel cannot wait until the following day or the next available routine appointment. On some busy days we may operate a triage system for emergency appointments. You may be asked for brief details along with your telephone number and a healthcare professional will call you back.
Please note sometimes student doctors and nurses visit the surgery as part of their training, and may observe consultations with the patients consent.

These appointments can be booked in advance for problems that do not require the doctor to examine you.
The nurses work in close co-operation with the doctors. Appointments for the practice nurses can be made over the phone or at the surgery.
The practice nurses help with general advice, dressings, suture removal, injections, travel advice, immunisation, cervical smear tests, and well person medicals. They also run clinics which monitor the progress of our patients with asthma, diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, and menopause problems.
If you are unable to keep a booked appointment please telephone the surgery and choose the "cancellation" option or tell a receptionist as soon as possible.
